John Walton on the Story of Noah

Here is another great video from the Asbury Theological Seminary’s Seven Minute Seminary series. I often hesitate to post videos. I hesitate to post them because I don’t watch videos on other people’s blogs — they slow me down too much. You can’t scan a video. A 20 minute video is going to take 20 minutes. I like the Seven Minute Seminary series, though, because they are brief and to-the-point.

Here John Walton, Old Testament professor at Wheaton College,  discusses the story of Noah in the book of Genesis.

John Walton is a professor of Old Testament at Wheaton College in Illinois and an editor and writer of Old Testament comparative studies and commentaries. Throughout his research, Walton has focused his attention on comparing the culture and literature of the Bible and the ancient Near East. He has published dozens of books, articles and translations, both as writer and editor, including his widely-read book The Lost World of Genesis One. (more…)
